Welcome to my messy little corner.
I'm a Nigerian, who likes to try fun and innovative things. I was born Ewanretor Giwa-Okugbe on the 13th of Feburary, 2006.
I got psyoped into learning JavaScript in 2020, and then Go in 2022, but have since opened my eyes to the truth of Rust, which sums my experience to this (*crazy how this my entire self worth):
Currently, I try to convince myself I work on important low-level systems such as S3N (don't ask me what the abbreviation stands for).
In two weeks I worked on a project that was estimated to be a month long (don't tell LinedIn folks) at Thena on a contract. After that, I wasted my time trying to build some bs crypto identity infra. Got that time back working on a few other less-bs stuff like The Forge (my ADHD got to me before I could make this one commercial).
Contributions
I don't keep track of my projects well (like the current state of my friendships), neither do I feel the need to lie in a CV anymore. *correcting a typo in a readme counts.
this site
https://github.com/hey-ewanJust woke up one day and decided to raw-dog HTML, CSS, and JS. I mean, why not. Then as every developer does, I overengineered it by serving it with Node.js and containerising it with Docker. Btw, I kinda hate yellow (and light themes), is why I used it. It makes me uneasy, which is kinda the point, really.
the forge
https://github.com/0xzerolabs/the-forgeAlthough I had big plans for this (big plans, I tell you), it served more as a way for me to learn rust. It was built on the promise of tokenising intellectual property on Story Protocol. Jokes on me, ig.
Hyli
https://github.com/hyli/hyliWhat better way to improve with rust than working with an existing project. Honestly, this felt more like an internship than me doing any important thing. They basically held my hands here. The Hyli team are the nicest.
sway
https://github.com/FuelLabs/swayWell, I worked on one issue during one of OD Hack's events (this was for money). Tbh, it felt more like undoing a restriction the Fuel Labs team self-imposed in the past. None the less, I got my pay (fairly quickly) and after a long time, we got the changes merged.
